2017 Stennis Space Center
While on vacation in Slidell, we decided to go up the highway into Mississippi
to see Stennis Space Center. Stennis is where most of the rocket engines for
the space program get test fired at. We took a bus tour of the facility and
it takes you by some of the test stands, which are enormous. It's also right
on the Pearl River which makes transport of heavy equipment by boat possible.
They have the lower stage of a Saturn V rokcet on it's side. It's probably
one of the few Saturn V rockets that you get get right next to, and touch
